Vision for Community Health

For more than 25 years, Cathy has served as a registered nurse in settings ranging from busy Illinois hospitals to international clinics. She experienced the undeniable difference basic emergency knowledge makes - a difference too often missed in low-income and underserved communities. Cathy's insight led to the founding of Hearts United, built on the conviction that no person should be powerless in a crisis or prevented from pursuing a healthcare career due to financial strain. Her warmth and commitment shine through in every training, outreach, and scholarship. Cathy continues to shape Hearts United with her belief in practical compassion, ensuring every program remains rooted in the real needs and strengths of McLean County's families. Her leadership gives the organization its authentic direction, modeling excellence, and trust at every step.
